If you are seeking an evaluation for a DUI, alcohol or drug-related situation per recommendation from an attorney or Probation Officer, the following information will be helpful for scheduling the appointment and completing the process. I do not do any lab work or collect samples as a part of the assessment.

Please plan your schedule to accommodate 2 hours for the appointment. I strongly recommend that you try to visit my office prior to your appointment to prevent any last-minute confusion on directions. If you arrive late and we have to finish the assessment by scheduling another appointment, I will have to charge you for the additional appointment time which I prefer not to do - you probably will not prefer it either!! In addition, if you become lost and need to call me for directions, I will not be able to call you back if I am in a session with someone.

During the assessment I will cover areas of history including geographic, education, employment, medical, alcohol and drug, family, legal, social and prior treatment or counseling.

With this information I generate a narrative written document that I send to you and, with your written permission, your attorney or probation officer if you have one. I only communicate with those to whom you have released me to talk to or send information to.

I have been providing attorney-recommended and court-ordered alcohol and drug assessments for over 10 years working with a variety of attorneys.
